Welcome to 2025 We’re back in our thriving village, and we’re delighted you’re still with us through the highs, lows, and the laughter that life encompasses.

hope you’re doing well, and that your holiday season was blessed, or that you were blessed in a challenge.

I wanted to share a little story with you and catch up on what’s been going on in my world. This past year has been a whirlwind of change, stress, and growth. I got through a divorce, dealing with two major family challenges, and helping my kids adapt to new situations and routines. It was challenging, to say the least! But you know what? All these experiences have left me craving a fresh beginning, a new chapter starting in 2025, where I am stronger, have better boundaries, more adaptability, understand signs and warning signals (red flags) and benefits of alternative, healthier paths in life. I know 2025 won’t be smooth sailing, life never is, but I’m determined to get back to doing the things I love, like my hobbies, passions, advocating and helping families like yours who live or work with children with additional needs.

I’m kicking off my imperfect podcast, “Word Power Podcast,” it offers valuable insights and tools for special needs parenting, drawing from my personal and professional experiences to empower listeners in supporting neurodivergent children and fostering empathy and understanding with the community at large. So I am still getting my head around it being 2025, I am getting back into playing acoustic guitar, and rediscovering my love for punk, rock, grunge music. Plus, I’m on a mission to find clean comedy that can bring some laughter and lightness back into my life. It’s been almost a decade since I’ve truly enjoyed myself and felt relaxed, and I’m ready to change that! As we enter this new year, I’d love to know what you’re doing for yourself as a parent or caregiver or how you might consider supporting those who care for someone with additional needs. It’s so important to give love and assistance in a way that’s appreciated, and I’m sure we can all make a difference in each other’s lives.
